As a member of the Texas Chapter of the Association for Gravestone Studies, her work with historic cemeteries earned the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution Historic Preservation Award in 2019. Kathleen is a graduate of Sam Houston State University and the author of Galveston's Broadway Cemeteries and Ghosts of Galveston.
