As President & CEO of Enactus for more than thirty years, Dr. Alvin Rohrs took a small regional nonprofit with 18 participating universities in the US and grew it into an international force for sustainable social entrepreneurship with 70,000 active students at 1700 universities in 36 countries. Under his leadership, annual revenue increased from $100,000 to $20 million. Widely recognized as an expert on entrepreneurship, social impact and acceleration leadership, Dr. Rohrs delivers powerful keynotes, conducts seminars and workshops, and provides consultation for companies and organizations in the business and non-profit sectors. He specializes in bringing innovative solutions to market through his high-level global connections. A captivating storyteller, he has spoken at the United Nations Foundation Plus Social Good Summit; Festival Economia in Trento, Italy; Circulo de Economia Forum on Social Responsibility in Barcelona, Spain; and the Clinton Global Initiative in New York City. An honoree in the Congressional Record three times for leadership, Dr. Rohrs received a National Charity Award in 1992, was named National "Entrepreneur of the Year, Supporter of Entrepreneurship" in 1995 by Inc. magazine, and was chosen to be an Olympic Torch Carrier for the XIX Olympic Winter Games in Salt Lake City, UT. He earned a Juris Doctorate at the University of Missouri Columbia Law School, a Bachelor's Degree in Business from Southwest Baptist University, and was awarded an Honorary Doctorate in Business from SBU. He and his wife live in Dunnegan, Missouri, and have two grown children.
