Author Biography

As Courtney Act, Shane Jenek has built a career as a drag queen, spokesperson, advocate, singer and all around performer with a strong (and beautiful) voice and advocate for change. Courtney uses her dazzling commercial profile to open up positive conversations about gender, sexuality, body image and identity. Since her original appearance on Australian Idol, her stint on Ru Paul's Drag Race, last year's appearance on Australian Dancing With the Stars and her yearly Mardi Gras involvement, Courtney is well on her way to being a household name - and certainly the biggest drag star we have grown locally.
