This comprehensive collection offers a unique look at nursing practice, theory, research and nursing history from various critical theoretical perspectives. It aims to initiate an international discussion among scholars from diverse countries, particularly Germany and Anglo-American countries, coming from distinctive schools of thought, e.g. German Critical theory and Post-structural approaches, and influenced by their respective histories of sciences. Prof Dr Thomas Foth teaches at the School of Nursing in the Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Ottawa. Prof Dave Holmes teaches and researches in Forensic Nursing in the School of Nursing at the University of Ottawa. Prof Dr Manfred Hülsken-Giesler teaches practical nursing science at the University of Vallendar, Germany. Prof Dr Susanne Kreutzer teaches Nursing Ethics, Philosophy of Science and History in Münster and Ottawa, Canada.
