Healing Through Nature's Medicine, A Story of Hope [Large Print]

When I look back at how far I've come with regards to restoring my health, I am amazed at how much I've learned on this journey of naturally health my body and how miraculously wonderful our bodies are when given the right environment.

I felt like my body was my enemy for a long time. Starting at the age of 38, I was diagnosed with premature ovarian failure fast forwarding me into menapause by the age of 40. This was very hard for me to accept this because I still was not married and had no children. I had the dreams many little girls have to get married and I always wanted children. I say it all the time, I wish I knew then what I know now because the doctors all told me back then I am perfectly healthy, it's just that my ovaries were failing. I think to myself now, If I was I healthy, my ovaries would not have stopped working at such a young age? There was something obviously very wrong.

In my mid-forties my hormones were a mess, I had adrenal fatigue, bad body aches and joint pain and had also developed hypothyroidism as well as a mass and nodules on it. To put it mildly, I felt terrible. I had gained around 30 pounds that would not come off, I was always tired and that just made me very cranky and insecure.

My doctor wanted me to go to an endochronolist and for a biopsy. I asked why do I need to go to a specialist and he said, "he's going to put you on thyroid medication". My reply was no, that is not what I want but I made the appointments anyway because I was really scared about the mass. My mind wondered to awful thoughts which I'm sure you all can relate if you've encountered a health challenge.

Three days after I made the appointments, something just kept gnawing at me, saying "I can heal naturally". I called my mentor and she guided me on exactly what to do, I wasted no time and started immediately and yes, I cancelled the specialist appointment and the biopsy.

I gave myself three months and if nothing improved, I was going to follow my doctors advise. And so, my journey began.

Three months later I went back for a recheck which included bloodwork and a new sonogram. My thyroid was back to normal, the mass and nodules shrunk by more than half their size, had more energy than in my twenties and I lost twenty-four pounds in total. I felt great!!! A year later the mass and nodules were completely gone.

My doctor's words to me were music to my ears, "Your thyroid is back to normal, and the mass and nodules have shrunk more than half their size. Whatever you are doing, keep doing it and come back in six months for a recheck."
