Author Biography
Bill Gigliotti graduated Magna cum Laude from Chapman University in California with a B.A. Degree, in Social Sciences with an emphasis in Psychology, Criminal Justice and International Relations. His Masters Degree is from Pacific Lutheran University in Washington. Bill has served in the Air Force and has held a variety of positions over his career, ranging from Anti-Terrorism to unit commander. Bill is a Vietnam veteran and was awarded The Bronze Star Medal, the Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry and numerous other awards. His last assignment prior to his retirement was Director of Administration at McChord AFB in Tacoma, Washington. Bill has attended numerous management and human behavior courses, including the FBI Hostage Negotiation Course. He was a distinguished graduate from the USAF Police Academy in Texas. Additionally, he served as a negotiator to the Republic of Korea and served as the Executive Officer for the A-10 Aircraft Program Management Office. Bill has worked as a Psychiatric Counselor for a private mental hospital and for the Sacramento County Probation Department, as well has having been a counselor in private practice. While in Sacramento, Bill studied under Dr. Craig Johnson, an associate of Dr. Thomas Harris, author of the best selling book "I'm OK - You're OK". In Washington, he managed a legislative campaign and has consulted to candidates. He conducts workshops on a variety of topics including stress management, hypnosis and self-confidence. He has been a facilitator for a "Coping with Loss" group for divorced and widowed persons in Billings, Montana. He is a former Vice-President of the Musselshell Chamber of Commerce and served on many committees. He is a member of The Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion, and is a member of the Vietnam Veterans of America. He previously served as a trustee for the Musselshell Library and is a member of Toastmasters. He has served as an advisor to the Musselshell County Juvenile Peer Court, and has judged Lincoln-Douglas Debates and other events for speech competitions. He is a member of the Carbon County Chamber of Commerce & previously served on the Board of Directors of RedCliffs SelectCare, Inc.; Aspen Living Foundation. He is currently on the Board of Directors of the Helper Museum & Historical Society, and serves on the Carbon County Career Service Council. He is active in many community activities, and strives to help others achieve their potential.
