Author Biography

Otescia R. Johnson is a writer, minister, captivating and innovative speaker, published author, mentor, and all around "Sister" to those placed in her path. Born in the tiny town of Dillon, South Carolina, Otescia has always dreamed of a life full of travel and philanthropy. Even as a young girl she "practiced" helping people by "counseling" her dolls. As she grew older she began to move towards business and entrepreneurism, two areas in which she excelled greatly. She studied Business Administration at Stevens-Henager College where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree. While she made a name for herself within her respective field of business, she found herself unfulfilled as her desire to help women overcome past difficulties began to consume her thoughts. Otescia's desire to help women all over the world through her ministry materialized when she began to lead the Women of Virtue Ministry at the Grafenwoehr Christian Fellowship in Grafenwoehr, Germany. In addition to the Women of Virtue, Otescia opened her home weekly and facilitated sessions aimed at providing a safe place for women to be spiritually vulnerable. It was at that time she began blogging and writing the book "He Cheated: A Woman's Guide to Receiving God's Healing After Adultery." She currently shares her story of triumph via workshops, retreats, interviews, speaking engagements, and one-on-one coaching sessions. Otescia strongly believes that Romans 8:28 is a foundational truth for everyone's life: "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." (NIV) In 2012, Otescia took her home-based sessions a step further and founded O. Johnson Ministries, an effort aimed at equipping the whole woman to walk in the fullness of her purpose. Otescia is a firm believer in the sanctity of marriage and enjoys being married to her best friend and biggest supporter, Lyndell. Lyndell and Otescia met in an unorthodox way that led them to live by the phrase, "God has a way of doing things so that it can't be mistaken as anyone else". They quickly fell in love and have devoted their lives to each other and their six children. They currently reside in North Carolina.
