Author Biography

Piedad Bonnett (Amalfi, Colombia, 1951) es licenciada en Filosofía y Literatura por la Universidad de los Andes. Tiene una maestría en Teoría del Arte y la Arquitectura de la Universidad Nacional de Colombia. Ha publicado nueve libros de poemas, varias antologías y el volumen Poesía reunida (Lumen, 2016). Además, es autora de seis obras de teatro, de las novelas Después de todo (2001), Para otros es el cielo (2004), Siempre fue invierno (2007), El prestigio de la belleza (2010) y Donde nadie me espere (2018), y de Lo que no tiene nombre (2013), un relato íntimo y sobrecogedor en torno a la muerte de su hijo, incluido en 2016 por Babelia entre los cien mejores libros de los últimos veinticinco años. Este título y todas sus novelas han sido publicadas por Alfaguara. Ha ganado el Premio Nacional de Poesía otorgado por el Instituto Colombiano de Cultura (Colcultura), en 1994; en 2011, el Premio Casa de América de Poesía Americana de Madrid; en 2012, en Aguascalientes, México, el Premio Víctor Sandoval; en 2014, el José Lezama Lima de Casa de las Américas, y en 2016, el Premio Generación del 27, en Málaga.
