Author Biography
Douglas has been married to his best friend MaryBeth since 1982. They have two adult children, Andrew and Amy. After pastoring several Southern California churches for over 25 years, and surviving 4th stage cancer, Doug left vocational ministry and started a business in the insurance industry in 2007. Over the years, he has proven to be one of the top producers nationwide in his business. He attributes his success to the favor of God in his life. Doug holds a M.A. in Theology (Fuller Theological Seminary 1998) and a B.A. in Communication (Pacific Christian College 1979). Doug's greatest passion life is to live truly free through his relationship with Jesus Christ. He has discovered over his lifetime that living free requires abandonment to the ordinary and embracing the extraordinary things that Jesus leads him to. His motto is "If I doesn't lead to life, don't do!" Doug enjoys spending as much time on the beach as possible and sipping truly great coffee. If he can do both simultaneously all the better.
