Do you struggle with resentment of others or yourself? If so, The Art of Forgiveness: A Promise of Peace is just for you. Using gentle compassion, the author leads you through a process that allows you to forgive your resentment. That process is the YIPPEE Method of Healing, created by the author once she forgave after resenting her childhood for thirty years. When utilized, YIPPEE frees you from your resentment and allows you to find great inner peace and freedom. YIPPEE is an acronym that stands for: Yearn, Investigate, Process, Practice, Evolve, and Empower. Once you go through the art form that is YIPPEE, you reach the Empower stage that brings you forgiveness. You also discover ways to live with more lovingkindness in your life. Forgiveness is so powerful. After discovering how to forgive, your relationships with others and yourself improve. You gain more esteem and self-confidence. In the middle of chaos, you become able to act with grace. You feel lighter, with more energy. The world seems more gentle. All-in-all, your life improves immensely. This happens over time, just as the time it takes to paint a grand work of art. Despite difficulties you encounter, the benefits you receive far outweigh any difficulty you may encounter while exploring your feelings. The Art of Forgiveness brings you great solace from wounds that lurk beneath your anger and resentment. At the same time you are guided toward a way to forgive, you are guided in the healing of your wounds. As a result, you feel cleansed and whole again after what can be years of resenting yourself or others. This book deals with feelings underneath your resentment, such as hurt, disappointment, shame, humiliation, loss, betrayal, fear, and grief. It is in the recognition and healing of these feelings that forgiveness arises. Once you heal and find you have forgiven, there is a promise of peace. In other words, when you forgive, you are promised the experience of peace.
Author Biography
Carolyn CJ Jones is a multi-award-and-medal-winning author, forgiveness coach, speaker and retired registered nurse. In her book, "The Art of Forgiveness," CJ shares her journey through trauma recovery and a rejection from the love of her life. Using these experiences, she walks you through the process of how to bring lovingkindness into your life. She then discusses forgiveness at great length as she talks about the "YIPPEE Method of Healing." This is a process based on her personal experiences that CJ created as a means to heal from many emotional wounds. While her story begins in resentment for 30 years, all over her childhood, CJ ends the book as a person living in a state of gratitude and positivity, at peace and free from resentment. CJ lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with her two 14-year-old kitties and her plethora of houseplants. In her spare time, she enjoys caring for her cats and plants, designing marketing material, writing, and varnishing teak wood trim on old boats. Dr. Fred Luskin is a Ph.D. psychologist who teaches forgiveness at Stanford University. He is a world renowned forgiveness expert. Cris Wanzer is an expert book designer. She designed CJ's 2nd Edition of "Opening the Gates of the Heart" book, which is composed of 43 photographs and paired verses.
