Author Biography
Asher Susser is Professor Emeritus of Middle Eastern History at Tel Aviv University (TAU); the Stanley and Ilene Gold Senior Fellow at the Moshe Dayan Center for Middle Eastern and African Studies at TAU; and the Stein Family Professor of Modern Israel Studies at the University of Arizona. Duygu Atlas has an MA degree in Middle Eastern History from Tel Aviv University (TAU) and is presently a PhD candidate in the Zvi Yavetz School of Historical Studies at Tel Aviv University, where she is writing her dissertation on Turkey's Jewish minority and its identity formation.
