The Pergamon Altar was constructed in the 2nd Century by Greek King Eumenes II at the Acropolis of Pergamon in Asia Minor (Turkey). It was reconstructed in the Pergamon Museum in Berlin. This book was written by Evamaria Schmidt and was translated into English. It has 37 pages of introduction and the rest of the book is made up of amazing b+w photographs showing large sections of the Altar. Hardcover, dust jacket, good vintage condition.
