عن الكتاب : إن الإسلام عقيدة استعلاء، من أخص خصائصها أنها تبعث في روح المؤمن بها إحساس العزة من غير كبر، وروح الثقة في غير اغتدار، وشعور الاطمئنان في غير تواكل وإنها تشعر المسلمين بالتبعة الإنسانية الملقاة على كواهلهم، وتبعة القيادة في هذه الأرض للقطعان الضالة، وهدايتها إلى الدين القيّم والطريق السوي، وإخراجها من الظلمات إلى النور بما أتاهم الله من نور الهدى والفرقان. وهذا الكتاب الذي بين يدي القارئ يثير في نفس قارئه هذه المعاني كلها، وينفث في روعه تلك الخصائص جميعها، ولكنه لا يعتمد في هذا على مجرد الاستشارة الوجدانية أو العصبية الدينية، بل يتخذ الحقائق الموضوعية أدانه، فيعرضها على النظر والحس والعقل والوجدان جميعاً، ويعرض الوقائع التاريخية والملابسات الحاضرة عرضاً عادلاً مستنيراً، ويتحاكم في القضية التي يعرضها كاملة إلى الحق والواقع والمنطق والضمير، فتبدو كلها متساندة في صفه وفي صف قضيته، بلا تمحل ولا اعتساف في مقدمة أو نتيجة وتلك مزية من مزايا الكتاب

انه يبدأ فيرسم صورة صغيرة سريعة، ولكنها واضحة، لهذا العالم قبل أن تشرق عليه أنوار الإسلام. يرسم الصورة لهذا العالم شرقاً وغرباً وشمالاً وجنوباً وكيف تسيطر عليه روح الجاهلية فيسوده الظلم والعبودية وتفشاه غاشية من الكفر والضلال والظلام، فإذا فرغ المؤلف من رسم صورة العالم بجاهلية هذه، بدأ يعرض دور الإسلام في حياة البشرية، ودوره في تخليص المجتمع الإنساني من الظلم والطغيان. ومن التفكك والانهيار، ومن فوارق الطبقات واستبداد الحكام واستدلال الكهان، ودوره في بناء العالم على أسس من الفقه والنظافة والإيجابية والبناء، والعدالة والكرامة، ومن العمل الدائب لتنمية الحياة وترقية الحياة، وإعطاء كل ذي حق حقه في الحياة. كل أولئك في إبان الفترة التي كانت القيادة فيها للإسلام في أي مكان، والتي كان الإسلام فيها يعمل. ثم تجيء الفترة التي فقد الإسلام فيها الزمام، بسبب انحطاط المسلمين، وتخليهم عن القيادة التي يفرضها عليهم هذا الدين، والوصاية التي يكلفهم بها على البشرية، والتبعات التي ينوطها بهم في كل اتجاه

وهنا يستعرض المؤلف أسباب هذا الانحطاط الروحية والمادية، ويصف ما حل بالمسلمين أنفسهم عندما تخلوا عن مبادئ دينهم، ونكصوا عن تبعاتهم، وما نزل بالعالم كله من فقدانه لهذه القيادة الراشدة، ومن انتكاسه إلى الجاهلية الأولى ويرسم هذا الخط عن طريق التأمل الفاحص. ومن خلال هذا الاستعراض، يحس القارئ، بمدى الحاجة البشرية الملحة إلى تغيير القيادة الإنسانية، وردها إلى الهدى الذي انبثق ليخرج الناس من الظلمات إلى النور، ومن الجاهلية إلى المعرفة، وبمدة الخسارة التي حلت بالبشر جميعاً، لا بالمسلمين وحدهم في الماضي وفي الحاضر وفي المستقبل القريب والبعيد. إلى جانب ذلك فإن الخصيصة البارزة في هذا الكتاب كله هي الفهم العميق لكليات الروح الإسلامية في محيطها الشامل، وهو لهذا لا يعد نموذجاً للبحث الديني والاجتماعي فحسب، بل نموذجاً كذلك للتاريخ كما ينبغي أن يكتب من الزاوية الإسلامية، فهو ينظر إلى الأمور كلها، وللعوامل جميعها، وللقيم على اختلافها فحين يتحدث المؤلف عن رد القيادة العالمية إلى الإسلام فهو يتحدث عن مؤهلات القيادة، فلا ينسى بجوار (الاستعداد الروحي) أن يلح في (الاستعداد الصناعي والحربي) و(التنظيم العلمي الجديد) وأن يتحدث عن (الاستقلال التجاري والمالي) انه الإحساس المتناسق بكل مقومات الحياة البشرية. وبهذا الإحساس المتناسق سار المؤلف في استعراضه التاريخي، وفي توجيهه للأمة الإسلامية سواء

عن الكاتب : ولد السيد أبو الحسن الندوي في السادس من شهر المحرَّم عام 1333 هـ ق (1914م)، وتنتسِبُ أسرته إلى الإمام الحسن بن علي عليهما السلام. وقد توفي أبوه وهو في التاسعة، فعلَّمته أمه القرآن، ثم بدأ دراسته النظاميَّة بتعلُّم العربيَّة والأرديَّة، وقد وقعت مسؤوليَّة تعليمه على عاتق شقيقه الأكبرالموضوع : الكتاب من تأليف العلامة الهندي وقد قدم له الأستاذ سيد قطب وهو يحكي حال العالم بالتفصيل من العصر الجاهلي مرورًا ببزوغ فجر الإسلام وحتى يومنا هذا واصفًا حال البشرية قبل وبعد انحطاط المسلمين مسهبًا في شرح الأسباب! الكتاب من النوع الثقيل في نظري ,, لغة الكاتب قوية ,, والكتاب يجعلك تفهم الكثير من الأمور حيث بإمكانك اعتباره مادة تاريخية دسمة ,, :) العنوان جريء لكنه يستحق فعلاً

He begins to paint a small, quick, but clear picture of this world before the lights of Islam shine upon it. He paints the picture of this world in the East, West, North and South, and how the spirit of ignorance dominates it, where oppression and slavery prevail, and a tyrannical spread of disbelief, delusion and darkness, so if the author finished drawing the world’s image with this ignorance, he began to present the role of Islam in the life of humanity, and its role in ridding the human community of oppression and tyranny. And from disintegration and collapse, from class differences, tyranny of rulers and priests' inference, and his role in building the world on foundations of jurisprudence, cleanliness, positivity and construction, justice and dignity, and from diligent work to develop life and promote life, and to give everyone the right to live. All of these were during the period when Islam was driving Islam anywhere, and in which Islam was in operation. Then comes the period in which Islam lost its reins, due to the decline of Muslims, and their abandonment of the leadership that this religion imposes on them, and the guardianship that it assigns to humanity, and the consequences it entrusts to them in every direction.

Here, the author reviews the reasons for this spiritual and material decay, and describes what happened to the Muslims themselves when they abandoned the principles of their religion and gave up on their consequences, and what has befallen the whole world from its loss of this rational leadership, and from its relapse into the first ignorance, and he draws this line through careful reflection. Through this review, the reader feels the extent of the urgent human need to change the human leadership, and its return to the guidance that emerged to bring people out of darkness to the light, and from ignorance to knowledge, and the duration of the loss that befell all human beings, not just Muslims in the past, in the present and in the future Near and far. About The Writer : Sayyid Abu al-Hasan al-Nadwi was born on the sixth of the month of Muharram in 1333 AH (1914 CE), and his family belongs to Imam al-Hasan bin Ali, peace be upon them both. His father passed away when he was nine years old, his mother taught him the Qur’an, then he began his regular studies by learning Arabic and Urdu, and the responsibility for teaching him fell on the shoulders of his older brother
